About The Position

The Division Director provides strategic and operational leadership for YJ Janitorial, YJ Sewer & Drain, and Elevation Exterminating. This position is responsible for the overall performance, profitability, service quality, and growth of all three divisions. The Division Director leads divisional managers and field teams, establishes consistent operating standards, manages budgets and financial results, strengthens customer and vendor relationships, and ensures compliance with all safety, licensing, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, results-oriented leader with experience managing multiple service-based businesses or operating divisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, facilities management, or a related field preferred.
  • At least seven years of progressive leadership experience in a service-based business.
  • Experience overseeing multiple departments, branches, or operating divisions strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated responsibility for budgets, profit-and-loss performance, and business growth.
  • Experience in janitorial, facilities services, plumbing, sewer and drain, pest control, property services, or a related industry is beneficial.
  • Proven ability to lead managers and geographically dispersed field teams.
  • Strong understanding of labor management, scheduling, job costing, contract services, and operational efficiency.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety, chemical handling, fleet management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency with business software, financial reports, customer-management systems, and operational dashboards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction across all three divisions.
  • Manage, coach, and hold divisional managers accountable for operational and financial performance.
  • Establish clear goals, performance expectations, and reporting processes.
  • Ensure adequate staffing, scheduling, equipment, and resources to meet customer commitments.
  • Develop standardized operating procedures while recognizing the unique needs of each service line.
  • Promote collaboration and shared resources across the divisions when operationally beneficial.
  • Identify and resolve service, staffing, scheduling, and operational challenges.
  • Assume responsibility for divisional revenue, profitability, budgets, and overall financial performance.
  • Develop annual operating plans, budgets, and growth targets.
  • Review financial statements, labor costs, job profitability, pricing, and operating expenses.
  • Implement corrective action when results fall below established goals.
  • Evaluate service pricing and contract terms to ensure sustainable margins.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising safety or service quality.
  • Provide leadership with regular forecasts and performance reports.
  • Develop and execute strategies to grow revenue across all three divisions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, property managers, vendors, and business partners.
  • Support proposals, contract negotiations, renewals, and major customer presentations.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities among janitorial, sewer and drain, and pest-control customers.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and ensure complaints or service issues are resolved promptly.
  • Evaluate new markets, services, and strategic partnership opportunities.
  • Establish and monitor service-quality standards for each division.
  • Review customer feedback, callbacks, complaints, and quality-control results.
  • Ensure work is completed professionally, efficiently, and according to contractual requirements.
  • Implement continuous-improvement initiatives that enhance customer service and operational efficiency.
  • Protect and strengthen the reputation of each company and its brand.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain qualified managers, technicians, supervisors, and field employees.
  • Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, professionalism, and customer service.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching.
  • Develop succession plans and leadership-development opportunities.
  • Ensure employee concerns and disciplinary matters are handled consistently and professionally.
  • Partner with human resources on hiring, onboarding, compensation, training, and employee relations.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and industry regulations.
  • Maintain required business, technician, pesticide-application, transportation, and trade licenses.
  • Enforce safety procedures related to chemicals, equipment, vehicles, confined spaces, personal protective equipment, and field operations.
  • Ensure employees receive required safety and technical training.
  • Monitor workplace incidents and implement corrective and preventive measures.
  • Maintain accurate operational, safety, licensing, and compliance records.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators, including revenue growth, gross margin and operating profit, labor productivity, customer retention, contract renewal rates, job completion and response times, callback and complaint rates, safety performance, employee retention, and sales pipeline and close rates.
  • Conduct regular operating reviews with divisional managers.
  • Provide concise reports and recommendations to executive leadership.
