The Division Chair oversees the operations, instructional quality, and daily functions of instructional departments within the Human Services & Education Division, including Child Studies and Education, Mental Health and Social Work, Interpreter Training, Cosmetology, Long Term Care, Adult Education and Literacy, and the Child Development Lab School. Responsibilities include leadership of degree and certificate programs, administration of federal grants and division-related business operations, personnel supervision, budget management, student issue resolution, and ensuring compliance with college, state, and federal regulations. The position also serves as the primary liaison with internal and external stakeholders, including community partners and state and federal agencies that support and impact divisional programs and services. This position receives general direction from the Dean of Workforce & Public Service, and exercises supervision over faculty, professional staff, and support staff.
