About The Position

The Division Chair for Continuing Education is responsible for providing leadership in the development, implementation, and coordination of workforce development programs and services, as well as College and Career Readiness programs and services at the college. This role also involves identifying business and industry training needs within the college's service area, in collaboration with other departments and divisions, to support regional economic development initiatives. Key duties include ensuring programs have necessary resources, overseeing budgetary requests and expenditures, supervising personnel, ensuring compliance with guidelines, and generating reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, required.
• Some travel required.
• Occasional work during the evenings or weekends are required.

Nice To Haves

• Three (3) years of administrative experience at the coordinator, director, or senior administrative level within continuing education or workforce development in a community college, preferred.
• Master's degree, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Providing leadership in the development, implementation, and coordination of workforce development programs and services.
• Providing leadership in the development, implementation, and coordination of College and Career Readiness programs and services.
• Identifying business and industry training needs within the college's service area to support regional economic development initiatives.
• Ensuring programs possess the necessary resources, supplies, and equipment.
• Overseeing the preparation of budgetary requests and managing procurements and other expenditures.
• Supervising personnel and directing personnel-related activities.
• Adhering to all administrative rules or regulatory requirements.
• Generating and verifying the accuracy of internal and external reports.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
