About The Position

The Division Manager of Retail Operations is responsible for developing and implementing annual budgetary goals and plans for labor, shrink, safety, technology, loss prevention, and other operating expenses for the division. This role also involves developing the annual capital requirements plan, setting short-term and long-term objectives with Department Managers, and collaborating with Merchandising and stores to improve performance. The position requires providing input on contractual issues, ensuring the implementation of the STAR program, and overseeing accident/incident investigations and reporting to maintain compliance and identify trends. Additionally, the role is responsible for monitoring compliance with Enterprise ORM-D / Hazardous Material standards, reviewing DSI compliance audits, and ensuring store management accountability for shrink and loss prevention objectives. The Division Manager will implement 'Best Practices,' work with management to implement CAO and maintain Enterprise I.S. standards, and develop plans for store technology deployment, effectiveness measurement, and training. This role includes supervising and coaching direct reports, conducting performance reviews, and providing feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Development of annual budgetary goals and plans for labor, shrink, safety, technology, loss prevention, and other operating expenses for the division.
  • Development of the annual capital requirements plan for inclusion in the division's business plan.
  • Working with each Department Manager to agree on short-term and long-term objectives, business plans, and goals for labor, safety, shrink, loss prevention, and technology.
  • Collaborating with Merchandising and stores to improve performance and develop metrics to measure the department's effectiveness.
  • Providing input on contractual issues, including language, wage, and benefits, to improve the division's competitive wage position.
  • Ensuring the Division's implementation of all elements of the STAR program.
  • Ensuring thorough accident/incident investigations for WC and GL claims are completed within 7 days of the event, ensuring 85% compliance through training.
  • Reporting of accidents/incidents.
  • Monitoring and identifying accident/incident trends and developing action plans for improvement.
  • Monitoring and ensuring Division compliance with the Enterprise ORM-D / Hazardous Material standards.
  • Reviewing reports related to DSI compliance audits.
  • Training, follow-up, and ensuring store management accountability on division shrink and loss prevention objectives.
  • Implementing 'Best Practices' to improve work processes.
  • Working collaboratively with division, store, and corporate management to implement CAO and maintain Enterprise I.S. standards throughout the division.
  • Developing plans for the deployment of store technologies, measuring effectiveness, and providing plans and execution for continued training.
  • Supervising and coaching direct reports in the performance of their duties.
  • Completing performance reviews and providing feedback to direct reports.
