The State Highway Administration's (SHA) District 7 (Frederick County) is currently recruiting for an District Utility Engineer (Transportation Engineering Manager II) position. Nature of Work: This position supervises and administers engineering technicians, contractors, and consultants to ensure that SHA maintains thorough and proper inspection of all Utility Relocation work, Engineering Access Permits, and Utility Permits within engineering District 7. This work includes managing the unit's assignments. This position is also responsible for setting standards and coordinating work with other divisions as well as contractors and local municipalities on a variety of complex engineering projects and processes in highway construction, hydraulics, bridge, traffic, and facility design and construction for electric, water and sewer, gas, communications, and fiber optic systems.
