The District Technology Director will provide leadership in identifying, assessing, and managing technology needs for the school system. This role involves directing and coordinating the integration of technology into all facets of operations, contributing to the infusion of educational technology into classrooms, libraries, and offices. The Director will offer motivating, full-time, professional leadership in technology planning and resource management, and will coordinate the development and execution of the district's strategic plan with all stakeholders. Collaboration with the Superintendent, principals, and school staff is key to making informed decisions. The Director will lead district initiatives, working across departments to support technology adoption and implementation, particularly in areas that enhance teaching, learning, and 21st-century skills. This includes creating and supporting cross-functional teams for needs assessment, decision-making, technology support, and professional development. The Director will manage and direct staff in supporting technology applications to meet strategic plan goals, supervise skills development for employees in technology operation, and build awareness of available resources and technology's role in instruction. Additionally, the Director will develop and coordinate technology-based resources, maximize their availability and use, obtain necessary annual professional development, and supervise district technology department employees. Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent will also be performed.
