About The Position

Imperial Beverage is seeking an experienced and driven District Sales Manager to lead a team of Account Managers in the Lansing, MI area. This role involves guiding the team to help local bars, grocery stores, and restaurants with their beverage choices. The District Sales Manager will lead, manage, and hold their teams accountable for hitting sales goals, staying organized, impacting sales, hiring talent, and fostering professional growth within their team. This is a full-time position requiring previous sales and leadership experience, availability Monday-Friday, and a willingness to reside in or relocate to the Greater Lansing area.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent education and experience) in Sales and Business Marketing Management.
  • Sales and management experience required.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must live in the assigned market.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to work varying hours to accommodate customer needs and special events.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with various types of people.
  • Desire to stay up-to-date on industry trends and product knowledge.
  • Ability to attain a Michigan Liquor Control Commission license.
  • Must currently reside or be willing to relocate to the Greater Lansing area.
  • Availability Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and hold teams accountable for hitting sales goals.
  • Impact sales and hire talent.
  • Help team members grow professionally.
  • Check schedules and plan visits to accounts and employees.
  • Create plans for each stop, including product samples, reviewing sales numbers, and ensuring account success.
  • Check in with the team throughout the day to answer questions and provide support.
  • Train new employees, resolve issues, sample products with purchasers, merchandise, job shadow employees, provide coverage for sales routes, and ensure account standards are met.
  • Run sales reports to track goals and identify sales opportunities.
  • Prepare and present information at weekly sales meetings.
  • Lead and coach the sales team.
