About The Position

Imperial Beverage is seeking an experienced and driven District Sales Manager to lead a team of Account Managers in the Lansing, MI area. This role involves guiding the team to support local bars, grocery stores, and restaurants with their beverage choices. The District Sales Manager will be responsible for leading, managing, and holding their teams accountable for hitting sales goals. They will need to stay organized and motivated to impact sales, hire talent, and foster professional growth within their team. This is a full-time position requiring previous sales and leadership experience, with availability Monday-Friday. Candidates must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to the Greater Lansing area.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent education and experience) in Sales and Business Marketing
  • Management and sales experience required
  • 21 years of age or older
  • Must live in assigned market
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
  • Flexibility to work varying hours to accommodate customer needs and special events
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with various types of people
  • Desire to stay up-to-date on industry trends and product knowledge
  • Ability to attain a Michigan Liquor Control Commission license

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and hold teams accountable while hitting goals.
  • Impact sales and hire talent.
  • Help team grow professionally.
  • Create a plan for each stop, which can include product samples, reviewing sales numbers, and ensuring we are helping the account succeed.
  • Check in with your team throughout the day to answer questions and see if they need anything.
  • Train a new employee, resolve issues, sample products with the purchaser, merchandise, job shadow an employee, provide coverage for a sales route, or ensure we are meeting account standards.
  • Run sales reports for your team to track goals and identify sales opportunities.
  • Prepare and present information at weekly sales meetings.
  • Lead and coach your team.
