This role involves strategic sales negotiations, setting up schedules for new and existing accounts, and surveying the market to identify business trends and opportunities. The manager will also assist in sales forecasting, planning activities, controlling sales performance, and executing sales and promotional activities. Additionally, the role includes conducting weekly sales meetings, preparing reports, managing selling expenses, and overseeing territory management when Sales Representatives are on vacation. A key part of the role is managing the merchandising staff, including hiring, disciplinary actions, performance reviews, and scheduling. The manager must also control labor hours within budget and ensure proper stocking, pricing, rotation, display standards, and cleanliness of products and shelves.
