This position is designed to provide backup assistance to all in-court/out-of-court clerks during times of heavy workloads, staffing shortages, sick leave, and vacation leave. This position performs a variety of clerical, secretarial, and administrative duties as required to expedite and maintain proper processes, procedures, and protocol on proceedings brought before the Court. The principal functions include enforcing financial policy and procedures, assisting in preparing necessary documents for magistrate or district court proceedings, acting as backup to the In-Court Clerk, organizing documents for the presiding Judge, and attending Court proceedings as needed. The position requires knowledge and previous work experience in the Court System, great attention to detail and accuracy in preserving Court cases and audio recordings of hearings, and documenting through Case Minutes. The work is performed under the general direction of the District Court Leads. The principal duties are performed in a general office environment. On occasion, Court may be in session beyond regular work hours, and the In-Court Clerk must remain in Court.
