About The Position

The District Attorney Investigator conducts complex criminal and civil investigations in support of the District Attorney's Office and the pursuit of justice for the residents of Mono County. This position independently plans and coordinates investigations, gathers and preserves evidence, interviews victims, witnesses, and suspects, prepares detailed investigative reports, and assists prosecutors in preparing cases for trial. Responsibilities include executing search and arrest warrants, conducting surveillance, investigating financial and white-collar crimes, assisting with Grand Jury investigations, and collaborating with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies. This position requires sound judgment, integrity, discretion, and the ability to manage sensitive investigations while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, policies, and evidentiary standards.
