DISTRICT ASSET PROTECTION MANAGER
About The Position
Provide asset protection support for retail and non-retail locations within the district, including The Little Clinic, convenience stores, Fred Meyer Jewelry, Manufacturing and Logistics. Conduct internal and external investigations, oversee vendors and asset protection specialists, analyze and audit shrink, and assist in developing shrink action plans. Promote a strong safety culture focused on personal safety and accident reduction, interact with law enforcement, and support stores in executing asset protection strategies. Requirements
- At least 2 years of multi-store-format retail asset protection managerial experience.
- Ability to multitask, handle diverse situations, work independently, and maintain attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Working knowledge of CCTV, alarm, access control, and locking systems.
- High initiative and motivation, integrity, and ability to maintain confidential information.
- Experience supporting a diverse team of asset protection professionals in implementing business-centric strategies.
- Strong presentation, oral, and written communication skills.
- Sound judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree.
- Loss Prevention Qualified (LPQ) or Loss Prevention Certified (LPC) credential.
- Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Certified Forensic Interviewer (CFI) credential.
- Wicklander-Zulawski certification.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the district manager and coordinators to assist with execution of shrink and safety business plans.
- Maintain knowledge of fresh and center store operational shrink-prevention programs and apply it during store visits and root cause analysis.
- Conduct internal and external investigations and report findings to appropriate stakeholders.
- Manage store security resources and target-hardening solutions, ensuring equipment is in working order.
- Ensure implementation and effectiveness of division and corporate asset protection programs and strategies.
- Represent the company's interests with local, state, and federal law enforcement, as well as in court hearings and actions.
- Conduct asset protection training classes and audits as needed and directed.
- Monitor asset protection equipment installations and ensure company standards are met for new and remodeled stores.
- Maintain on-call availability after hours and on weekends to provide direction and respond to critical events.
- Travel regularly to stores to ensure execution of asset protection initiatives and maintain availability after hours and on weekends.
- Supervise and coach direct reports; complete performance reviews and provide feedback.
- Lead district safety initiatives and support the G.O. safety strategy.
- Reduce customer and associate accidents through root cause analysis and execution of safety processes.
- Support the personal safety campaign and investigate evidence of workplace violence in conjunction with Human Resources and G.O. Asset Protection.
