About The Position

The Distribution Technician performs and supports leads, supervisors, and staff with operational functions related to quality control, label inspection and separation, packaging, special instructions, and shipping. The role helps meet customer delivery deadlines while maintaining quality standards. The position works B Shift, with the schedule listed as S–T 7:45 p.m.–8:00 a.m. and Wednesday 7:45 p.m.–8:00 a.m. A $500 sign-on bonus is offered to eligible candidates.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to embody and reflect Vestcom’s core values.
Stand for two-thirds to all of the shift daily.
Use hands and fingers to handle and feel for one-third to two-thirds of the shift daily.
Reach with hands and arms for one-third to two-thirds of the shift daily.
Lift 50 pounds for one-third to two-thirds of the shift daily.
Close vision sufficient for clear vision at 20 inches or less.
Color vision sufficient to identify and distinguish colors.
Successfully complete a post-offer background check and drug screening as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

Inspect, separate, slot, and package label and print products accurately.
Maintain all quality control standards.
Use the ERP system to log time and materials accurately.
Complete shipments and ensure packages go to the correct person or place according to the daily job schedule, instructions from a lead or supervisor, job tickets, or customer special instructions.
Communicate printing, laminating, or shipping problems and quality issues to appropriate individuals.
Double-check shipments leaving the production facility for errors before they reach the customer.
Communicate as needed with courier companies and drivers about shipping delays, special deliveries, and other matters that may affect customer deliveries.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; use required PPE and follow safety rules and procedures.
Work overtime or another shift as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Maintain regular attendance.
Comply with company policies, including those concerning a drug-free workplace and safety.
