About The Position

The Distribution Tech is responsible for distributing customer products, including picking, packing, and shipping orders. The role involves operating powered industrial equipment to pick and put away parts; reading and picking orders from picklists; using RF devices and computers; paying careful attention to serial and lot numbers; and consolidating large orders. This position is part of the Operations team in Indianapolis, Indiana, and is on-site. It reports to the Shipping Supervisor. The role also includes preparing shipping documentation, verifying receipts, tracking and replenishing stock, updating the Oracle warehouse management system, and managing inventory.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalency.
At least 2 years of shipping/receiving experience.
Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.
Ability to lift 45 lbs. without mechanical or lift assistance.
Ability to work within a team environment.
Basic computer and inventory-tracking skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Oracle, RF scanning devices, and forklifts.
Experience using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
Experience tracking stock via barcode scanners and RF devices.
Understanding of workplace safety protocols.

Responsibilities

Pick, pack, and ship customer orders.
Operate powered industrial equipment to pick and put away parts.
Read and pick orders based on picklists, use RF devices and computers, and accurately handle serial and lot numbers.
Consolidate large orders.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scan guns to safely load and unload trailers or move stock.
Prepare bills of lading; verify receipts; pick, pack, weigh, and stage customer orders to meet daily productivity standards.
Track and replenish stock items, update the Oracle warehouse management system, and manage inventory.
