About The Position

The Distribution Tech provides materials support to clinical and ancillary departments at San Ramon Regional Medical Center. The role maintains adequate supplies in all par areas, handles supplies and equipment to ensure sterility, collects and submits patient-chargeable items, and accurately enters received items into the hospital Materials Management inventory control system. The Distribution Tech also serves as a liaison between departments and management to support ongoing communication. The position is in the Central Supply department and is listed as full time with a rotating shift. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of recent experience in inventory control, Central Supply, distribution, or a medical department, and a valid California driver license.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
Minimum one year of recent experience in inventory control, Central Supply, distribution, or a medical department.
Valid California driver license.

Responsibilities

Inventory all supply carts daily.
Rotate supplies using first-in, first-out practices.
Ensure all patient-charge items are labeled.
Ensure all items removed from inventory are charged out.
Report insufficient on-hand stock.
Post data input to the Materials Management System.
Accurately enter all received items into the system.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Fill authorized requisitions for departments.
Deliver inventory and non-inventory items to departments.
Receive incoming supplies and equipment in accordance with Tenet Accounting and Materials Management policies and procedures.
