Responsibilities

  • Proactively monitor key metrics to achieve expected results.
  • Drive District and Department Excellence: All categories and departments above 90%, including Employee Satisfaction, Timely & Valuable Performance Reviews every 12 months, Timely one on one for all employees, All team members to complete 52 hour training per year (4.33 per month), All team members to complete all mandatory training timely.
  • Operation Efficiency: Freight Arrival logged within 2 hours of arrival, Arrive to Reconcile - 24 hours, Reconcile to Put Away - 24 hours, Requested Ship to Actual Ship - 48 hours, Cycle Count Accuracy - Accuracy at 95 or above.
  • Ensure all required MAS event codes are entered timely and accurately to ensure Data Integrity and accurate timing reports.
  • Parcel: Freight arrived to Entrada Log – 2 Hrs.
  • LTL /FTL: Freight arrived to Entrada Log – 2 Hrs.
  • Loading: Work order ready to load complete – 2 Hours.

  • Escalate problems or concerns to Supervisor and/or Operations Manager.
  • Monitor and maintain low levels of supplemental hours.
  • Assist team members in problem solving and provide guidance in ways of improving performance.
  • Actively report to Supervisor inconsistencies in the processes.
  • Monitor workload and ensure proper work distribution.
  • Manage, prevent, and resolve inventory, OSD, process and customer exceptions.
  • Assign duties and examine work ensuring compliance to policies and procedures.
  • Perform all operations in compliance with the Expeditors Operational Process Standards.
  • Lead the team to ensure compliance with internal policies and local regulations.
  • Support the entire warehouse team and provide coverage in other areas as needed.
  • Monitor service execution within the Distribution department, leading and assisting in the pursuit of efficiency and operational excellence.
  • Performance Management: Ensure oversight, including self-assessments and daily, weekly and monthly performance, escalating issues with supervisor so the root cause can be identified and issues are resolved proactively.
  • Understand department process flow, constantly looking for areas to improve efficiency to offer customers better cycle times, service while improving margins.
  • Make certain that client specific instructions are understood at the desk level to properly process shipments and invoices. Maintain SOPs updated for all customers.
  • Ensure proper use of all Expeditor systems and tools.
  • Make certain that files are logged correctly and timely with proper codes, trace types and events.
  • Ensure that all correspondence within business unit is handled timely and professionally.
  • Make sure the team is using approved service providers.
  • Understand and comply with all policies, including the credit policy.
  • Ensure the team is aware of the rates for each account and align providers to the scope of service required by the customer.
  • Responsible to inform immediately to the Branch’s Health and Safety representative any unsafe condition that could put employees at risk in the work place as well as any incident or accident.
