Requirements

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Distribution services
  • Minimum 2-3 years of supervisory experience
  • Strong negotiation skills

Responsibilities

  • Proactively monitor key metrics to achieve expected results.
  • Drive District and Department Excellence, ensuring all categories and departments are above 90%.
  • Ensure timely and valuable performance reviews every 12 months.
  • Conduct timely one-on-one meetings for all employees.
  • Ensure all team members complete 52 hours of training per year (4.33 per month).
  • Ensure all team members complete all mandatory training timely.
  • Monitor operational efficiency metrics such as Freight Arrival logged within 2 hours, Arrive to Reconcile within 24 hours, Reconcile to Put Away within 24 hours, Requested Ship to Actual Ship within 48 hours, and Cycle Count Accuracy at 95% or above.
  • Ensure all required MAS event codes are entered timely and accurately for Data Integrity.
  • Exemplify and teach company culture, mission, and goals.
  • Follow the 10 Critical Success Factors.
  • Ensure the operation is properly staffed, structured, and organized, and interview regularly.
  • Ensure all needs and tools required are available for the Department to be successful.
  • Engage with team members daily, conduct check-in meetings regularly, and provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Be visionary in managing staff, processes, and tools to handle volume spikes, growth, or support other branches.
  • Build healthy cross-functional relationships and work environment, promoting team spirit and cohesiveness.
  • Ensure company controls, policies, procedures, and processes are understood and complied with.
  • Ensure daily huddle meetings and weekly Supervisor meetings take place.
  • Support all Employee Satisfaction initiatives.
  • Design and establish a structure to cover operational needs for Distribution/warehouse operations and satellite offices, considering future growth.
  • Effectively supervise and monitor service execution within the Distribution department.
  • Ensure oversight of performance management, including self-assessments and daily, weekly, and monthly performance monitoring to resolve issues proactively.
  • Review all exceptions to drive efficiency internally and through customer interaction.
  • Map and understand department process flow, constantly looking for areas to improve efficiency.
  • Actively participate in the optimization of systems and tools to continuously improve efficiency, productivity, and quality of service.
  • Ensure client-specific instructions are understood at the desk level to properly process shipments and invoices.
  • Maintain updated SOPs for all customers.
  • Ensure proper use of all Expeditor systems and tools.
  • Ensure files are logged correctly and timely with proper codes, trace types, and events.
  • Review all discrepancies to ensure they are resolved from the root cause and implement necessary training.
  • Ensure all correspondence within the business unit is handled timely and professionally.
  • Evaluate service providers timely.
  • Evaluate new business and reasons for service changes.
  • Maintain the highest compliance levels for all applicable Distribution requirements.
  • Stay current with developments and changes in regulations or company offerings and educate staff.
  • Escalate issues to Distribution Operations Manager or Distribution Manager timely when needed.
  • Active involvement with sales, customer retention and development, and account management globally.
  • Identify needs and sell detailed and tailored services that provide value-added services to potential clients.
  • Actively participate in customer visits and calls and ensure they are documented.
  • Prepare effective customer presentations and updates.
  • Comply with all company policies, including the credit policy.
  • Monitor the Daily Branch Revenue report to identify and correct errors timely.
  • Responsible for informing the Branch’s Health and Safety representative immediately of any unsafe condition or incident/accident.
