About The Position

The Distribution Specialist is part of the Supply Chain Operations team and is responsible for monitoring and assuring that supplies and patient care equipment are maintained. The role resolves and fulfills requests and inquiries, helping ensure excellent healthcare experiences for MultiCare patients and families. The position is based at Tacoma General Hospital in Tacoma, Washington. The role is listed at 0.01 FTE, with a variable shift and schedule.

Requirements

High school graduation or equivalent is preferred.
A minimum of two years of experience in receiving, product distribution, warehousing, storekeeping, hospital Central Service, or Inventory Control is preferred; a combination of knowledge and education demonstrating the qualifications to perform the duties may also be considered.
Computer input and keyboard experience is desired.
Basic experience with PC business applications, including MS Word and Excel.

Nice To Haves

Experience with a computerized Materials Management system is preferred.
Experience using electronic signature software is preferred.

Responsibilities

Verify materials and receipt documentation against purchase orders and enter purchase order receipts.
Coordinate with Purchasing personnel to resolve purchase order or receipt discrepancies.
Package and process supplies and materials being returned to vendors or other facilities, and coordinate shipping.
Supply stores stock supplies within the designated Distribution Storeroom location.
