About The Position

The GTC Distribution Specialist is responsible for the timeliness and accuracy of all distribution postings for IRA, Bond accounts, and asset purchases. This role involves performing data entry for financial transactions, scheduling and reviewing periodic distributions, reconciling daily balances, processing internal account transfers, and analyzing reconciling reports. The specialist will also process asset purchases accurately and timely, and complete required compliance training.

Requirements

  • High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; e.g. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc.
  • 7 to 11 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, notes, letters and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to prepare and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to utilize common sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral or diagrammed instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several known variables in situations of a routine nature.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Internet, e-mail.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and be detail oriented.
  • Ability to interpret documents such as operating instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles to include G/L processing.

Responsibilities

  • Performs data entry for all check, ACH, and outgoing wires.
  • Schedules remittance maintenance and review of periodic distributions.
  • Reviews and reconciles daily balance.
  • Processes internal account transfers.
  • Reviews and analyzes reconciling reports.
  • Processes asset purchases accurately and timely.
  • Completes required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned.
  • Maintains a constant state of alertness and works in a safe manner.
  • Performs any other related duties as required or assigned.
