About The Position

This is a 2nd shift position. The Distribution Specialist Trainer will assist in the initial training, certification, and recertification of all full-time, new hire, and contingent workers in the proper procedures for all Distribution Specialist positions in the Distribution Center. The goal is to ensure order/inventory accuracy standards are met and maintained. The trainer will document findings and provide feedback to the area Coach regarding concerns, and provide input regarding performance on new hires for purposes of determining retention. The role requires staying current on all process changes in Shipping, Picking, and Receiving, and assisting in gathering information and/or auditing written training documentation (SOP) for accuracy. The trainer will also support and participate in all facility programs such as Quality Audit, PFP, IQ Club, Housekeeping, Hazard Hunter, and Safety, and support facility metrics such as Inventory Accuracy, Order Accuracy, LPH, CPH, Quality, and Safety. A flexible schedule is required when training associates across shifts. The trainer will communicate associate concerns and suggestions to Management and encourage associates to be engaged in the operation of the facility. All duties will be performed and standards maintained in accordance with company policy and procedures, and as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
One to two years related experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of management, as well as associates
Ability to prioritize and achieve objectives in a fast-paced environment.
High degree of credibility
Demonstrated success handling multiple priorities and multi-tasking
Proficient in Microsoft Office functions such as word, excel and outlook
Utilize available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines
Ability to influence others to perform their jobs effectively and to be responsible for making decisions
Ability to use thinking and reasoning to problem solve

Responsibilities

Assist in initial training, certification and recertification of all full time, new hire and contingent workers in the proper procedures for all Distribution Specialist positions in the Distribution Center to ensure order/inventory accuracy standards are met and maintained.
Document findings and provide feedback to the area Coach regarding concerns.
Provide input regarding performance on new hires for purposes of determining the retention of the full time or contingent workers employment.
Stay current on all changes in processes regarding production jobs in Shipping, Picking, and Receiving.

Assist in auditing SOP documentation annually or as process improvements are made.
Support and participate in all facility programs such as Quality Audit, PFP, IQ Club, Housekeeping, Hazard Hunter and Safety.
Support facility metrics such as Inventory Accuracy, Order Accuracy, LPH, CPH, Quality and Safety.
Communicate associate concerns and suggestions to Management.
Encourage associates to be engaged in the operation of the facility.
