About The Position

The Distribution Operator (MDC) position in Carthage, Missouri is responsible for receiving and warehousing incoming finished goods, bulk cheese, and warehouse inventory. This role involves assembling products for outbound disposition to customers, utilizing computerized terminals, and potentially supporting bulk operations. The operator will work with leaders and partners to ensure Food Safety and Partner Safety, understand and execute standard operating procedures, perform required PCP checks, and follow reaction plans for Food Safety, Food Quality, and customer requirement outages. Accurate data recording on production reports is essential. The role requires satisfactory completion of Forklift training and certification, Job Specific Safety Training (including LOTO and JHA), and a 3-5 week training checklist. Proficiency in distribution operations, including order picking up to 50lb cases, data entry, and cycle counting in Invio, is necessary. Understanding and use of RF units for duties is required. Outbound responsibilities include building loads for shipment, ensuring customer-specific requirements are met (temperature recorders, high cube and weight loads to DOT standards, multi-stop load building, unique double stacking requirements). Vendor receipts involve entering critical data and reconciling vendor BOL quantities and weights to Invio PO information. Redistribution tasks include accurate receipt of product and understanding customer requirements, reconciling customer BOL to Invio (weight, lot number, shelf life, make date, item number, case qty), researching differences, and following unique customer-specific SOPs. Proficiency in GMPs and QSPs concerning distribution is required, along with a complete understanding and ability to communicate food safety requirements pertaining to trailer condition, refer settings, and items safe to load with cheese. Maintaining Food Safety training and certification is mandatory. Understanding the legal requirements of a Bill of Lading and following proper procedures for documentation is crucial. The ability to complete Over Short and Damage paperwork for inbound finished goods loads is also required. The role involves working knowledge and safe operation of all Distribution Center equipment, including Forklift, stretch wrapper, pallet inverter, dock plate, dock lock, dock doors, battery chargers, and battery crane, operating in a 35-38 degree environment. Maintaining proper rotation of products within warehouses and assembling customer orders by stock number, lot/sub lot number, or other identified methods are key duties. Moving product or material to ensure ITP accuracy for ingredients, film, and corrugated is also part of the role. Effective communication with team members, including Traffic clerk, Inventory Control, QA Technician, System Specialist, and leaders, is necessary to meet customer requirements. Proficiency in reading and comprehension of the English language is required. Overtime or weekends may be required. Other duties as assigned by TL/TA. The ability to learn and operate computerized data entry systems (Invio) from radio frequency terminals mounted on forklifts and Video Display terminals is needed. Must be a team player, able to read and write legibly, and possess proficient math skills for accurate customer order processing. Prior forklift experience (6 months minimum) in warehouse type PIVs is required, along with the ability to become power equipment operator certified and maintain that certification.
