About The Position

TJX Companies is offering a 12-week summer internship in Operations at their Global Distribution and Fulfillment Networks. This internship provides hands-on experience in a worldwide logistics operation, focusing on problem-solving to increase efficiency. Interns will receive extensive on-the-job training, mentorship, and exposure to professional development, networking, and volunteer events. The role involves leading a team of warehouse associates, ensuring efficiency and safety, and contributing to process improvement initiatives. High-performing interns may receive offers for a second internship or a full-time Distribution Supervisor position.

Requirements

Genuine interest in a long-term career within worldwide logistics operation
Rising Juniors and Seniors currently enrolled in a 4-year degree program or students enrolled in 2-year degree program
Available for the full duration of the summer internship program
Strong analytical thinkers with sophisticated problem-solving skills
Proven leadership experience, team collaboration and strong communication skills
Confidence and flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
Entrepreneurial drive, strong work ethic, and business acumen
Able to accommodate a flexible work schedule depending on business needs

Responsibilities

Lead and develop diverse teams
Collaborate with various functions within the Distribution or Fulfillment Center
Shadow TJX operations leaders
Gain exposure to the full lifecycle of the off-price business model
Identify and contribute to process improvement initiatives
Play an active role in the daily operations of a Fortune 100 company by leading a team of warehouse associates while keeping efficiency and safety top of mind
Work on a process improvement project and give a final presentation to Distribution executive team members
