About The Position

The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. is a global leader in beauty, specializing in skin care, makeup, fragrance, and hair care products. This role is for a Material Handler on the 2nd shift in the Distribution Area. The primary function is to ensure daily requirements are met by supplying assembly and filling lines with components and transferring finished goods out of production. Material Handlers are expected to perform their duties safely and in alignment with the manufacturing department's goals and objectives, while also practicing individual commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Some experience in a general warehouse environment preferred.
Proficient computer skills and ability to navigate Basic Microsoft Windows Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook).
Forktruck certification mandatory after 90 days.
Effective communication skills and demonstrated knowledge of English, reading and writing.
Must obtain a Powered Material Handling Equipment (PMHE) License.
Mechanical Aptitude.
Medium physical effort required.
Lifting 50 lbs. maximum and frequently lifting and carrying up to 35 lbs.
Ability to stand for several hours daily.
Problem-solving ability.
Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Loads and unloads materials shipped to and from interplant and outside facilities.
Verifies the accuracy of transactions and compares them to actual production, including physical inspection of goods to validate condition.
Operates manual and power material handling equipment to retrieve, put away, and replenish materials throughout the facility and load onto transportation vehicles.
Utilizes Warehouse Management Systems to document and process shipping and receiving orders.
Ensures correct pallets are used and built based on EXACTA and Customer supplier criteria.
Assists in maintaining inventory accuracy and stock control as required.
Troubleshoots and communicates problems to ensure timely turnover in the shipping/sortation area.
Completes a Pre-Shift Checklist on all powered material handling equipment, including battery water, charging, and cleaning.
Maintains a clean work environment, including sorting pallets, wrapping stacked cardboard on pallets, and communicating any quality changes.
Follows all safety and good manufacturing practices (GMP's).
Performs various other duties as assigned, including assisting with the training of new employees.
