About The Position

The Material Handler is responsible for the accurate receipt, accountability, and disbursement of materials, as well as the accurate preparation and shipment of finished goods. This role ensures all tasks are performed safely and efficiently, maintaining a high level of product identification, lot control, and FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles, all in compliance with the company's quality policy.

Requirements

  • Proficient understanding and working knowledge of Personal Computer.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management computer system.
  • Proficient level of arithmetic skills to complete, interpret, and analyze charts and graphs.
  • Ability to read and demonstrate an understanding of operator instructions.
  • Ability to write as demonstrated through the completion of the employment application.
  • Ability to pass required testing to operate material handling equipment as assigned.
  • Effective verbal, listening, and communication skills.
  • Possess Job Skills required to accurately stage and prepare customer shipments.
  • Possess Job Skills required to accurately load customer shipments.
  • Possess Job Skills required to accurately input and process customer ASNs.
  • Possess Job Skills required to accurately verify, process and input of finished goods.
  • Possess Job Skills required to accurately unload, receive and stock incoming import and domestic component material.
  • Possess Job Skills required to accurately disburse material to manufacturing.
  • Possess Job Skills required to safely unload and receive raw material or accurately process and receive non – direct material.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and follow operator instructions for the assigned area.
  • Perform quality checks as outlined in operator instructions.
  • Inspect incoming parts and outgoing shipments to ensure compliance with Quality standards.
  • Operate all material handling equipment in an alert, safe, and effective manner.
  • Process freight bills, packing slips, receiving reports, bills of lading, and other related receiving and shipping forms.
  • Accurately input all inventory-related transactions into the computer system.
  • Punctually attend assigned work days and be timely.
  • Maintain alertness while working in an area with constant moving equipment.
  • Participate in company activities such as IATF16949, ISO9001, ISO14001, and Employee Involvement.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, internal departments, and external resources.
  • Understand and comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform duties with minimal supervision in a manufacturing environment.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
  • Maintain 5S standards, including good housekeeping and cleaning throughout the department.
  • Accurately stage and prepare customer shipments.
  • Accurately load customer shipments.
  • Accurately input and process customer ASNs (Advance Ship Notices).
  • Accurately verify, process, and input finished goods.
  • Accurately unload, receive, and stock incoming import and domestic component material.
  • Accurately disburse material to manufacturing.
  • Safely unload and receive raw material or accurately process and receive non-direct material.
