About The Position

The Oatey Summer Internship Program – The Oatey Intern Experience is a 12-week program designed to expose college students to meaningful work in a diverse, collaborative team environment. The program offers one-on-one mentorship, developmental feedback and coaching, lunch series, engaging networking events, and weekly forums. Interns will work closely with experts to develop skills and gain insight in their chosen career field, with exposure to all leadership levels. The program includes learning and development, peer mentoring, challenging team projects, and community involvement. The Distribution intern will work directly with the distribution team at all levels within Oatey’s organizational structure, supporting distribution and warehousing, transportation activities, and KPI analysis. The role requires effective communication and interaction with distribution centers, logistics partners, supply chain associates, suppliers, and other internal stakeholders, providing a thorough overview of the supply chain function.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering, supply chain, operations, business, or related field
Strong analytical skills
High competency level with the Microsoft Office suite of products
Ability to balance multiple activities in a fast-paced setting
Ability to work in warehouse setting
Good communication skills

Responsibilities

Conduct velocity analyses to identify potentially more efficient options for activities in the distribution network.
Support administrative tasks including, but not limited to collecting and analyzing data for weekly and monthly distribution reports, backorder reports, and other key drivers of performance.
Support new item set-up.
Daily review and communication of order fulfillment results.
Guided development of predictive analytics models.
Other support activities.
