About The Position

The Logistics Intern will support the Global Logistics organization by assisting with transportation, distribution, warehouse operations, freight management, and logistics analytics. Working alongside Logistics, Manufacturing, Procurement, Customer Service, Planning, and Finance teams, the intern will analyze transportation data, improve logistics processes, and help drive operational excellence while ensuring products are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time. This internship provides hands-on experience in domestic and international logistics and prepares students for careers in Supply Chain, Logistics, Distribution, or Operations.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in: Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Analytics, Finance, Engineering, Or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Power BI or Tableau is preferred.
• SAP or Transportation Management System (TMS) experience is a plus.
• SQL or Python knowledge is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support domestic and international transportation activities.
• Assist with freight planning and carrier management.
• Monitor shipment status and delivery performance.
• Help resolve transportation delays and service issues.
• Support warehouse and distribution operations.
• Assist with inventory movement across manufacturing sites and distribution centers.
• Analyze freight spend and transportation performance.
• Monitor carrier performance and on-time delivery metrics.
• Support freight optimization initiatives.
• Assist with logistics network analysis and transportation planning.
• Identify opportunities to reduce transportation costs and improve service.
• Extract and analyze data from SAP, Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Excel, and other business systems.
• Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI and Excel.
• Track key logistics metrics including: On-Time Delivery, Freight Cost, Transportation Spend, Carrier Performance, Warehouse Productivity, Inventory Turns, Perfect Order Performance, Customer Service.
• Partner with Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, Customer Service, Finance, and Distribution teams.
• Participate in logistics reviews and transportation planning meetings.
• Support initiatives that improve customer delivery performance and operational efficiency.
• Communicate transportation risks and recommend solutions.
• Support projects focused on: Freight Optimization, Transportation Cost Reduction, Warehouse Efficiency, Network Optimization, Carrier Performance, Logistics Automation, Standard Work Development, Process Improvement.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting and improve logistics visibility.
• Prepare reports and executive presentations.
• Present project updates and recommendations.
• Communicate logistics performance through data-driven insights.
