About The Position

The Distribution Driver Class B delivers products to customer locations, including bars, restaurants, and hotels. The role includes inspecting, preparing, loading, unloading, operating, and cleaning the vehicle in accordance with company and Department of Transportation safety guidelines. Drivers also review standing orders, develop sales, process payments, and maintain required records. This is a local-delivery role with a Tuesday-through-Friday, four-day work week, and drivers are home every night.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience.
Class B Commercial Driver's License.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Ability to frequently lift, lower, push, carry, or pull up to 48 pounds.
Ability to regularly sit and operate machinery such as a forklift, pallet jacks, and battery change stations.

Responsibilities

Deliver products to bars, restaurants, hotels, and other customer locations.
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Receive payment for delivered goods.
Sort merchandise by invoice for delivery.
Operate the delivery vehicle safely and courteously.
Check in money and returned goods daily with the Driver Check-in and Accounting Cashier.
Complete required daily paperwork, including the DOT logbook and driver vehicle inspection report (DVIR).
Follow company uniform standards.
Follow safety regulations and perform duties safely.
Plan trip logistics and obtain the documents necessary to transport goods.
Load and unload cargo and ensure safety equipment is used.
Secure cargo according to safety requirements.
Report incidents to the dispatcher.
Follow traffic laws.
Keep the vehicle, products, and equipment tidy and in good working order.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
