About The Position
As a Class B CDL Driver at United Rentals, you deliver equipment to customers safely, promptly, efficiently, and courteously. You interact frequently with customers as a company ambassador and provide exceptional customer service. Requirements
- Valid Class B CDL with an acceptable driving record.
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years of DOT-regulated commercial driving experience.
- Ability to frequently lift items weighing up to 45 lbs.
- Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures.
- Diligent attention to safety.
Responsibilities
- Drop off and pick up equipment for customers.
- Operate heavy equipment such as semi-trucks and trailers, including rollbacks or dove tails, consistent with DOT classification CDL-B.
- Follow equipment-specific safety requirements, including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
- Maintain driver logs and complete pre-trip inspections.
- Suggest equipment and supplies to meet customers’ additional needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
