About The Position

Coordinates the distribution of materials to internal and external customers. Efficiently manages and distributes work-in-process (WIP) and inventoried parts, organizes inventory locations using an ERP system, and coordinates material movements between facilities so parts arrive at work centers on schedule. The role also handles shipping and receiving, shipment documentation, packing, customer-supplied materials, inventory counts and discrepancy investigations, and distribution procedures. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, plus 1–3 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience using computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, memos, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and present information effectively one-on-one to other employees.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals, and compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
• Ability to apply common-sense understanding to written, oral, or diagrammed instructions and address problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to perform the essential duties satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodations where needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage and distribute WIP and inventoried parts to internal and external customers.
• Organize and manage inventory locations using an ERP system.
• Coordinate moves between facilities to ensure parts are at work centers on schedule.
• Ship and receive materials.
• Develop packing lists and bills of lading (BOLs) for shipments.
• Organize and pack ship-loose items.
• Coordinate the receipt and organization of customer-supplied materials.
• Organize WIP parts by job number.
• Conduct inventory cycle counts and investigate inventory discrepancies.
• Load and unload material using forklifts and/or cranes.
• Review and complete pick lists.
• Create packaging solutions to meet customer needs.
• Route shipments via appropriate carriers to meet customer needs.
• Assess and develop distribution standard operating procedures as needed.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
