Distribution Center Operations Manager
About The Position
The Distribution Center Operations Manager oversees and manages the daily operation of a single shift in an AutoZone distribution center. The role is responsible for accuracy, productivity, on-time delivery, and safety, and regularly communicates with the DC Manager about process improvements, goals, and metrics. The position manages and assists Advisors and Supervisors across multiple departments, supports continuous improvement, and mentors Advisors for career progression. It operates in a fast-paced, safety-sensitive environment and requires flexibility for the shift schedule.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of successful experience in distribution or warehouse operations.
- Must be flexible for the shift schedule.
- Cross-functional experience overseeing multiple areas simultaneously.
- Experience operating Powered Industrial Equipment (PIE).
- Exceptional people skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
- Understanding of the demands of a fast-paced work environment involving receiving, stocking, inbound, outbound, replenishment, returns, and recalls.
- Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment.

- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
Responsibilities
- Manage and assist Advisors and Supervisors in multiple departments.
- Motivate employees and work effectively in a team environment.
- Ensure operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are on target.
- Attend and/or lead pre-shift meetings in different departments to communicate and prioritize assignments, safety issues, and extra tasks.
- Mentor, train, and develop Advisors for career progression.
- Develop and share best practices across shifts.
- Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
- Communicate new policies and procedures to Advisors and AutoZoners.
- Maintain a safe working environment and ensure AutoZoners follow safety practices, including use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
