The Facilities Service Manager is responsible for the maintenance and support of facility, infrastructure, and material handling equipment within the Distribution Center. You will be responsible for a team of technical and mechanical specialists and will be expected to demonstrate positive engagement and leadership with a strong emphasis on safety, performance, and accountability. In addition, you will be responsible for regulatory compliance, CVS policy adherence, preparing cost controls, adhering to budgets, and identifying opportunities to improve safety and performance within the building and its material handling systems. This role requires strong organizational competencies, a proactive mindset, and the ability to multitask in a highly dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience managing skilled trades facilities personnel
  • 5 years of supervisory experience
  • High School Diploma/GED

Nice To Haves

  • Heavy conveyor systems background
  • Engineering degree or background (Industrial, Systems, Mechanical, Electrical)
  • OSHA certifications (10, 30, 50)
  • Additional certifications in Industrial Safety or First Aid
  • Competency in Ariba Procurement and Service Channel
  • Fluent in the Microsoft Suite of product as well as AutoCad
  • Understanding of conveyor controls and technologies
  • Strong analytical capabilities using tools such as CMMS and SAP
  • Subject matter expertise in powered industrial equipment
  • Bachelors Degree in Facility Maintenance
  • Certified Facilities Manager (CFM)

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate competency in maintenance planning and budgeting
  • Effective knowledge of facility operations and equipment management including implementing process improvements, effective workflow management, and implementing preventative maintenance program.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance practices of critical operating equipment including LOTO, hazard identification and appropriate PPE requirements
  • Analyzing risk, developing contingencies, and making solid decisions so as not to negatively impact production while maintaining the highest standards in safety
  • Knowledge of computerized maintenance management, procurement and service ticket systems
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis and develop strategies to improve uptime and building availability.
