About The Position

The Distribution Center Manager is responsible for managing operations including receiving, inventory control and cycle counting responsibilities for assigned warehouse location. Manages team of direct, indirect, hourly, non-exempt, exempt and temporary associates within areas of assigned responsibility. Utilizes MRP System to create and produce management reports as well as track and maintain inventory and orders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, MBA preferred
  • 6+ years of experience including at least 2 years supervising others
  • Financial Analytics Modeling
  • Supply Chain and Logistics
  • International Travel required
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite including Excel, Word and Power Point.
  • Experience with MRP Systems
  • Ability to travel as necessary.
  • Must be familiar with functions of Customer Service, Warehousing, Quality Assurance and Financial Analysis.
  • Strong verbal and written presentation skills to collaborate and communicate with team members and others at a variety of different levels effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Manages daily operations in receiving, inventory control and warehouse operations to meet operational expectations in a quality manner for the assigned location.
  • Oversees staffing, training and supervision of departmental employees to include policy interpretation and enforcement, workload distribution, performance evaluations and managing employee relations while ensuring schedules, customer needs and quality standards are met in a timely fashion.
  • Compiles data, analyzes past and current needs and make recommendations for process improvements.
  • Works with management to ensure warehouse performance goals are consistently met.
  • Evaluates warehouse operations workflow including leading cross functional efforts to evaluate, recommend and improve work processes.
  • Ensures that processes are designed to improve inventory accuracy, customer service levels and operational productivity.
  • Manages shipping and customer service performance levels, both externally and internally to ensure order integrity, accuracy, timely shipment and the consistent achievement of expected levels.
  • Oversees the resolution of customer/vendor issues and problems.
  • Recommends and implements methods to maximize staff utilization.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts that support annual goals for productivity, service, cost control and work environment improvements.
  • Accountable for departmental performance objectives on a monthly, quarterly, and annualized basis.
  • Complies with ISO9000 standards and requirements.
