About The Position

Cold Spring Brewing is hiring a full-time Distribution Center Clerk to compile documentation for incoming and outgoing shipments, coordinate appointments, and prepare Bills of Lading and other shipping documents. The role supports distribution center operations by checking in deliveries, verifying shipment information, coordinating with dock staff, assisting customers and visitors, and maintaining inventory records and reports. The position follows a rotating 2-2-3 night-shift schedule, with 12-hour shifts from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., for 15 workdays per month. Compensation is $19.00–$21.50 per hour, depending on experience, and the posting offers a $750 sign-on bonus.

The role is based primarily in an office, with time potentially spent in production and warehouse areas of a fast-paced manufacturing facility. Conditions may include loud noise, slippery floors, and temperatures that vary with outside weather. Hearing protection is required, and employees must wear hairnets and refrain from wearing jewelry on the production floor. Alcohol is an ingredient in products manufactured at the facility, and the company cannot guarantee a position, schedule, or environment that avoids working around alcohol.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in a blending or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Outlook, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and customer portals.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Regular use of a computer and responsibility for writing and filing records.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Ability to meet the listed physical demands, including frequent standing, talking or hearing, using hands, feeling, and reaching; occasional sitting, walking, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling; and extended periods of standing and sitting.
• Vision for distance, close work, color, peripheral awareness, and depth perception.
• Wear required hearing protection and hairnets, and refrain from wearing jewelry on the production floor.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with SAP or other inventory management systems.
• Experience with GMP and/or HACCP regulations.

Responsibilities

• Receive appointment requests by email from brokers and agents and respond with scheduled dates and times.
• Compare identifying information and shipment counts, weights, or measurements against Bills of Lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
• Use computer programs to enter data and prepare Bills of Lading and other documents for scheduled product pickups.
• Check in inbound and outbound deliveries using drivers’ pickup numbers; obtain information to complete Trailer Inspection Forms and print Bills of Lading and Pick Sheets as needed.
• Communicate with Dock Coordinators to determine which dock door should receive each truck.
• Answer phone calls, provide directions to the facility, and assist with other customer service needs.
• Direct incoming calls to the appropriate company representative and greet and refer visitors and customers.
• Coordinate inventory counts as required by customers and the company, assist with customer requests and discrepancies, and follow applicable inventory-control policies and procedures.
• Complete reports as required by customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.
• Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices, quality production requirements, and food-safety requirements.
