About The Position

AriensCo is hiring motivated Distribution Center Associates for its Shepherdsville, Kentucky distribution center. The role primarily focuses on receiving operations and supports order fulfillment and customer needs. The starting pay is $20.00 per hour. Positions are scheduled four 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Associates work in a distribution-center environment that may be hot and humid or cold. Safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes are required. The position involves standing and walking for at least eight hours per day, occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds, frequent lifting of up to 35 pounds, and pushing, pulling, twisting, reaching, bending, and squatting. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Requirements

Ability to use basic hand tools.
Basic computer skills and basic math and reading skills.
Ability to perform all job functions safely.
Ability to understand and follow standard work practices.
Ability to read invoices in English and understand commands in English from the picking system.
Authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

Perform receiving operations, the primary focus of the role.
Pick, pack, and verify orders as needed.
Monitor and store packaging supplies as required.
Use a forklift as needed to put away newly received product.
Confirm purchase orders and intercompany transfers before receiving goods in the system.
Apply 6S principles to the assigned work area.
Perform other duties as assigned to meet customer needs.
Work safely and consistently identify ways to make the workplace safer.
