About The Position

ITW Shakeproof is seeking a Distribution Associate to help move products efficiently through the distribution process while maintaining accuracy, safety, and quality. ITW Shakeproof supplies cold-headed and metal-stamped fasteners to major OEMs and their tier suppliers, directly and through distribution channels. The position involves picking, verifying, labeling, assembling, and moving warehouse products and shipments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent training.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Forklift certification and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Understanding of and compliance with safety rules and regulations.
• Basic math skills and ability to interpret data.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Compare product identification information and counts against daily pull sheets.
• Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems to pick, track, verify, and record inventory movements.
• Print and affix shipping and special labels to cartons for designated customers.
• Record shortages.
• Assemble customer orders on pallets to meet customer needs.
• Drive a variety of forklift trucks to move and store cartons on warehouse racks.
• Verify and examine shipments for accuracy using a handheld scanner.
• Move products into and out of the warehouse using the First-in, First-out (FIFO) method.
• Comply with safety and quality rules and policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
