About The Position

ITW Shakeproof is seeking a Distribution Associate to support the movement of products through its distribution process while maintaining accuracy, safety, and quality. ITW Shakeproof supplies cold-headed and metal-stamped fasteners to major OEMs and their tier suppliers, directly and through distribution channels. The role involves checking and picking products, recording inventory movements, preparing customer orders, and moving shipments within the warehouse. The position requires forklift experience and certification, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. The starting pay is $22.40 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent training.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Forklift certification and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Understanding of and compliance with safety rules and regulations.
Basic math skills and ability to interpret data.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Compare product identification information and counts against daily pull sheets.
Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems to pick, track, verify, and record inventory movements.
Print and affix shipping and special labels to cartons for designated customers.
Record shortages.
Assemble customer orders on pallets to meet customer needs.
Operate a variety of forklift trucks to move and store cartons on warehouse racks.
Verify and examine shipments for accuracy using a handheld scanner.
Move products into and out of the warehouse using the First-in, First-out (FIFO) method.
Comply with safety and quality rules and policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
