About The Position
The Distribution Center Associate II supports FleetPride branches and customers by expediting parts for delivery. The role involves picking and organizing orders, handling and storing inventory, recording product data, and maintaining a safe and orderly warehouse. Work takes place in inside and outside conditions in a facility that is not climate controlled, with varied temperatures, minimal chemical hazards, vibration, dust, and equipment noise.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or high school equivalence certificate.
- At least 2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, shipment auditing, inventory control, and stock replenishment.
- Forklift and reach truck experience.
- Ability to lift or carry parts over 60 pounds up to 15% of the time; most lifting and carrying involves parts weighing 5 to 60 pounds.
- OSHA-approved steel-toed safety shoes are required starting on the first day of work.
Responsibilities
- Pull and organize branch and customer orders for delivery according to part number, quantity, picking ticket, and assigned priority.
- Manually load and unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, or lifting devices.
- Stock and maintain inventory in designated warehouse storage areas.
- Weigh materials or products and record weight and other production data on tags and labels.
- Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to support compliance with safety regulations.
- Inspect stock for wear or defects and report damage to supervisors.
