About The Position

The Distribution Associate 1 provides routine logistic / distribution support to the Inventory Replenishment Division, Distribution Section, and will be responsible for the allocation of all products coming into the Company. This is a temp to hire position.

Requirements

Proficiency in tracking incoming shipments.
Ability to collaborate with freight forwarders and negotiate schedules.
Experience in scheduling third-party truck companies and managing loading dock operations.
Skills in preparing transportation of products and system enhancements.
Ability to define project scope and conduct cost/benefit analysis.
Strong customer service skills for branch locations.
Problem-solving skills for timely resolution of matters.
Experience in verifying shipping records and handling inventory discrepancies.
Ability to respond to inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations.
Capability to respond to inquiries concerning shipments and issue resolutions.
Willingness to assist warehouse associates with various duties.

Responsibilities

Track all incoming shipments from Vendors, Wismettac Japan, and other third-party clients to ensure that all products are received and ready for distribution to other branch warehouses.
Collaborate with freight forwarders to schedule container shipments/ monitor and manage the scheduling of containers and negotiate price schedules.
Scheduling third-party truck companies, arranging pick up and drop offs, and scheduling loading dock use of mechanized equipment such as forklifts.
Prepares transportation of products, enhancement to existing system, and problem resolution.
Defines the project scope, business and division distribution requirement, and cost /benefit analysis, and makes recommendations on improvement.
Provide professional service to branch locations who place or inquire about orders, stock status, shipping and delivery, and prices, or who voice concerns about products or services.
Attempt to resolve all matters on a timely basis.
Refer product complaints to employees responsible for complaint handling.
Checking and verifying shipping records, handling questions or concerns of shipping shortages or overages, and addressing any problems with inventory control.
Respond to Branch, third-party trucking company, and outside warehouse inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations.
Responds to internal and external inquiries concerning shipments and/or issue resolutions.
May assist warehouse associates with duties including but not limited to operating loading unloading vehicles, preparing goods and materials, and processing receipts, inventory, etc.
Perform other related duties as required.
