This is a technical supervisor consortium-level position serving as the Distributed Computer Systems Analyst II - SES for the North Central Florida (NCF) IT Consortium. This position is to assist the Data Center Director in supporting the County Health Department (CHD) users with hardware, software, and networking functions. This support will require occasional travel to consortium CHDs for onsite support. Duties include assisting the Data Center Director with LAN and WAN support at the local and regional level. Responsible for the supervision of staff including appraisals, planning, and directing their work, approving leave, having the authority for hiring, and taking disciplinary action or effectively recommending such actions. Supervises direct reports including motivating, training, providing guidance, and direction. Develop expectations and meets with staff regularly to discuss performance, complete performance reviews, and discipline action, if needed. Maintains vacation and work schedules to ensure proper coverage and completes timesheets. Ensures all staff complete required training and are offered additional training. Performs administrative and management functions with NCF servers housed at all consortium CHDs, Alachua Main CHD server farm, and remote file shares within the OIT StorSimple storage array, to include upgrades, patching, and maintenance where applicable. Performs administrative and management functions with NCF VoIP phone systems and hosted FAX systems at all consortium CHDs, to include troubleshooting issues, acting as intermediary between CHD and hosting vendors, and coming to appropriate resolution of issues. Management, customization and support of the NCF IT consortium distributed computer remote imaging network. This is a complex system integral to the successful deployment of all workstations within the NCF-IT support consortium. This is a technical supervisor position for the NCF-IT site technician team which consists of 4 (four) Distributed Computer Systems Specialists and will be the primary point of contact for those tier 1 technicians. Ensures the consistent development and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs). Onsite backup support for the NCF-IT Consortium as needed during regular technician absence. Provide back-up administrative and management functions for the NCF IT backup systems. Responsible for ensuring all consortium data sets are routinely and reliably backed up. Coordinate with HQ OIT staff on the process and procedures for modifications and upgrades to the server operating systems. Prepares diagnostics and troubleshooting methods to resolve hardware and software problems in the NCF IT consortium CHDs. Provide administrative functions for the NCF IT consortium active directory (AD) and group policy objects (GPO) credential and security environments. Assure AD and GPO structure and implementations adheres to DOH standards as well as proper functioning of automated policy implementation consortium wide. Maintain a work plan and schedule for consortium support. Maintain and contribute to the NCF IT knowledgebase and body of knowledge, as well as provide authoritative information or advice on computer systems and programs. Responsible for securing the designated information set for the purposes of protecting confidentiality, data integrity, and appropriate access, for all information, both confidential and public record, which is stored in hard copy or electronic formats. This position may require access to sensitive data, HIPPA, PHI, PII, or social security numbers. May be required to work extra hours or days in the event of an emergency. Extended hours support or Subject to Call may also be required. Personal vehicle must be used for travel in the event a state vehicle is unavailable. Mileage will be compensated at the current state approved reimbursement rate.
