Dispensing Pharmacist - Long Term Care - Full Time
About The Position
Omnicare, a leading provider of pharmacy services to long-term care facilities and other healthcare customers, is hiring a pharmacist for its Long Term Care Pharmacy. Following Omnicare’s sale by CVS Health, the person hired will be employed by Omnicare as an independent, standalone organization and will help shape its future during a period of growth and transformation. This full-time position is scheduled for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., with occasional weekend and night-shift coverage. There is no on-call requirement. The pharmacist provides routine and emergency drug screening, information, processing, and dispensing services for drug distribution systems serving care centers. The role supports pharmacy management’s goals and objectives and emphasizes accurate, efficient, safe service, quality, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Active pharmacist license in the state of Oregon, in good standing.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate entry of orders.
- Maintain pharmacy security.
- Adhere to required delivery schedules.
- Verify orders entered by technician staff for accuracy.
- Check new and refill labels and orders for completeness and precision.
- Check drug packaging and labeling for content and accuracy.
- Prepare and/or supervise sterile IV drug products or solutions, if required.
- Assist in maintaining a perpetual inventory for Schedule II drugs.
- Apply knowledge of DEA and state law regarding controlled drug dispensing.
- Provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage during scheduled rotations based on business needs.
- Follow applicable state and government regulations, including HIPAA.
- Perform other duties as assigned, which may vary by location.
