Dispensing Pharmacist - Long Term Care - Full Time

About The Position

Omnicare is a provider of pharmacy services to long-term care facilities, including skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and other institutional care settings. Following its sale by CVS Health, Omnicare will operate as an independent, standalone organization, and the person hired for this role will be employed by Omnicare. The pharmacist works in a fast-paced dispensing pharmacy, supporting pharmacy management's goals and ensuring routine and emergency drug screening, information, processing, and dispensing services for various drug distribution systems. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, scheduled Monday through Friday from 1 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., with occasional weekend and night-shift coverage. There is no on-call requirement. This is a benefit-eligible position. The role contributes to a culture of continuous improvement, quality, and service, with a focus on customer service and prioritizing workflow.

Requirements

Active pharmacist license in the state of Oregon, in good standing.
Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy or Doctorate of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

Ensure accurate entry of orders.
Maintain pharmacy security.
Adhere to required delivery schedules.
Verify orders entered by technician staff for accuracy.
Check all new and refill labels and orders for completeness and precision.
Check drug packaging and labeling for content and accuracy.
Prepare and/or supervise sterile IV drug products or solutions, if required.
Assist in maintaining a perpetual inventory for Schedule II drugs.
Provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage during scheduled rotations based on business needs.
Follow applicable state and government regulations, including HIPAA.
Perform other duties as assigned; duties may vary by location.
