Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years related experience
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs with or without accommodation

Responsibilities

  • Organizing and stocking inventory
  • Issuing and receiving instruments
  • Equipment control and security of dental equipment and instrument cassettes
  • Maintaining a clean, well-organized work area
  • Providing excellent customer service to students and staff in Dental Clinics
  • Maintaining inventory of supplies and equipment to ensure smooth operation of the clinic
  • Performing inventory reports and reporting deficiencies to supervisor
  • Maintaining security of dental equipment and instrument cassettes
  • Following barcode system protocol
  • Reviewing and signing transfers of instruments from or to Central Sterilization Facility (CSF) or another dispensary
  • Inspecting returning cassettes for damage, debris, defects, or missing items
  • Communicating with students to take appropriate action regarding instruments and infection control protocol of equipment
  • Working effectively with faculty, students, residents, and other Clinic Materials staff to ensure a smooth operation
  • Demonstrating the Clinic Materials values of mutual respect, patient centered, safety, responsible, and continuous improvement
  • Maintaining a clean well organized work area, and sweep the operatories for gloves, cavicide, blue wrap and remove any remaining materials
  • Other duties as needed to contribute to the team effort of Support Services
