About The Position

Black & McDonald’s Kansas City team is growing! The Dispatcher is responsible for supporting the maintenance department with workflow management and field contact. Reporting to the Maintenance supervisor. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills, a high degree of accuracy and basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Requirements

  • Hours for the shift are 3pm – 11 pm, Monday through Friday
  • Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing with all levels in the organization and with outside clients.
  • Must be a self starter, able to work with others and to handle multiple tasks.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications (Excel, Word and Outlook)

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of certified payroll a plus but not required

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the call centers, customers, and citizens for light out calls
  • Create work orders
  • Communicate with field personnel regarding repairs
  • Ensure the dispatch performance criteria of the contracts are met
  • Assist in managing work order flow/scheduling for all maintenance contracts
  • High customer service level required
  • Preparation of certified payroll
  • Responsible for monthly contract invoicing & reporting
  • Handling all inventory transactions (receiving, posting, etc)
  • Responsible for assisting warehouse with monthly inventory cycle counts
  • Fill in on occasion to cover vacations and holidays
