About The Position

MV Transportation is seeking a Dispatcher to direct day-to-day route operations in compliance with client-defined procedures and company procedures. The Dispatcher communicates and interacts daily with drivers and clients and organizes activities to support safe, cost-effective, and on-time operating performance. The role tracks and reports driver sign-in and sign-out times, monitors route timeliness, and communicates service issues to Dispatch Supervisors or Dispatch Managers as appropriate. The position offers a competitive pay rate of $21.63 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain composure under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to high-quality customer service.
• Professional phone manner.
• One year of previous Dispatcher experience preferred.
• Two years of Customer Service experience preferred.
• Experience with Trapeze software.
• Knowledge of the service area is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Take client calls and communicate issues with drivers and Dispatch Supervisors or Dispatch Managers as appropriate.
• Monitor radio, telephones, and on-road service delivery for quality.
• Help influence positive employee morale and quality customer service.
• Monitor and complete driver sign-in and sign-out daily.
• May assign trips to drivers to ensure trips are adequately distributed among assigned routes.
• Monitor daily system performance.
• Participate in analysis and review of operating performance.
• Note routes that are closed or start late and communicate this to Dispatch Supervisors or Dispatch Managers as appropriate.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
