About The Position

Sprague, a leading energy and materials handling services supplier in the Northeast, is seeking a Dispatcher to join their transportation team. This role is crucial for managing the dispatching of Sprague's fleet and external carriers, while also providing support for driver management and order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will possess over five years of experience in dispatch and logistics, demonstrate a strong team-working ability, and be capable of prioritizing tasks and performing effectively under pressure.

Requirements

• Five years plus in a dispatch and logistics environment.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations as they pertain to Commercial Motor Vehicle drivers.
• Solid computer literacy (Word, Excel, and Dispatch software) and proven ability to learn new technologies.
• Working knowledge of the NY Metropolitan area including NYC, Long Island and Westchester.
• Must be flexible to work weekend shifts and evening/night hours as needed.
• Ability to work well with others, organize workload, and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Dispatching to Sprague fleet and outside carriers, including reviewing orders, product type, delivery time, location, and other relevant issues to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
• Monitoring order fulfillment by outside carriers.
• Supervising, directing, and assisting drivers with deliveries and any travel or directional needs.
• Monitoring customer tank polling and tank polling orders/tank monitoring.
• Assisting in resolving delivery and customer concerns.
• Inputting Driver’s Data Sheet for payroll and hours of service management.
• Performing order entry when Customer Service is not on duty.
