About The Position

COBS Bread is seeking personable Bakers to share their love of fresh bread with loyal customers. No experience is necessary, just the right attitude and a willingness to learn. Our bread and treats are baked fresh daily without any added preservatives. We donate all end-of-day baked goods to charities. We provide a well-structured, industry-leading training program where you will learn all aspects of scratch baking. COBS Bread bakers are highly sought after in the industry, and with our rapid growth, there are excellent opportunities to advance with the company. A benefits package is provided upon successful completion of the 3-month probation period.

Requirements

• Early riser who can work independently or as part of a small team.
• Pride in what COBS offers the community.
• Great attitude, good organizational skills, and a sense of urgency.
• Commitment to the success of your team, the bakery, and your own development.
• Continuous standing/walking for all tasks.
• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 22 kg.
• Frequent turning and reaching.
• Occasional pushing, pulling and some forward bending.
• Ability to lift at least 2.5 kg to a height of 1.7 meters.
• Constant use of both hands, with frequent wrist rotation and flexing, occasional forceful gripping.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a small team to bake product from scratch early each morning, following carefully crafted recipes.
• Work alongside your team to keep the bakery clean and contribute to a great customer experience.
• Read production schedules and recipes, measure and mix ingredients, mould and shape dough, and process everything through the ovens.
