About The Position

This position is responsible for monitoring and communicating the need for security services throughout assigned areas. The dispatcher will manage and respond to calls and/or alarms, initiating immediate responses and coordinating or dispatching staff as needed. They will also monitor the activities of persons on the premises via surveillance systems and communications, and initiate communication with management for additional staffing support. In some cases, this role may also be responsible for hiring, training, supervision, and performance appraisals of security shift employees.

Requirements

High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

Monitor and communicate need for security services throughout assigned area(s).
Manage and respond to calls and/or alarms and initiates immediate response.
Coordinate and/or dispatch staff in response to requests for service.
Retrieve recorded documentation as required.
Monitor the activities of persons on the premises by way of surveillance systems and communications.
Initiate communication with team leader/manager when additional staffing support is necessary and assist with resolution of those issues.
May be responsible and accountable for hiring, training, supervision and performance appraisals of security shift employees.
