About The Position

Our team is rapidly expanding, and we're looking for a skilled dispatcher to join our Flower Mound, TX location. As a Dispatcher, you will take charge of daily operations, focusing on building and maintaining relationships with Clients, Contractors, Customers, and Employees. Your role is essential in ensuring seamless delivery operations, overseeing owner-operators, and managing loading, dispatch, and client relations. Why PTG Logistics? Requirements

High school diploma or 3+ years of dispatching experience in logistics/transportation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), strong verbal and written communication.
Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

Coordinate accurate and efficient loading/unloading of vehicles for the delivery of retail home products.
Ensure merchandise is properly received, staged, and stored.
Track key performance indicators to maintain an efficient operation.
Monitor weekly financial reports and settlements to ensure contractor goals are met.
Conduct ride-alongs and evaluate contractors for skill development opportunities.
Handle claims and ensure appropriate charges are assigned.
Recruit Independent Owner Operators and assist in building their teams.
Oversee the maintenance of delivery/service vehicles as scheduled.
Lead delivery teams to ensure timely delivery of products.
Review and optimize scheduling and routing procedures.
Ensure compliance with DOT and OSHA requirements.
Set performance goals and monitor progress.
Train and coach the assistant manager and all staff.
Foster positive relationships with HR and client representatives.
