This position involves scheduling and dispatching drivers and vehicles for client delivery and pick-up services, specifically for medical appointments and meal delivery. It is primarily a Customer Service role and may also involve serving as a Scheduler. The role reports to the Transit Supervisor and includes cross-training. The dispatcher will be the primary contact for transit drivers, answering questions, handling emergency calls, and performing customer relations functions for scheduling. Responsibilities also include routine follow-ups with potential clients, responding to inquiries and complaints, scheduling group rides, preparing reports, managing tablet inventory, ensuring driver uniform compliance, responding to vehicle accidents, monitoring routes for safety, assisting drivers with vehicle problems, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local health and safety regulations. The individual may also serve as a Scheduler and Transit Driver when required.
