About The Position

Seeking a seasonal full-time Dispatcher (until mid-to-late September 2026) to work in a busy office environment, performing a variety of administrative tasks, scheduling and dispatching for the operation, and providing customer service. Reporting to the Operations Team, you will work within a group of professionals in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This role is responsible for delivering a broad range of dispatch and administrative functions to support safe, efficient, and reliable transit operations, including HandyDART and On-Demand services.

Requirements

  • Previous work-related experience with social media platforms is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Previous administrative experience is required.
  • Strong communication and Customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage a busy office environment.
  • Proficient in using radio communications.
  • Strong organizational and scheduling skills.
  • Strong skillset with Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

  • Business Communications experience is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and dispatch drivers in accordance with established procedures
  • Monitor radio communications and facilitate communication between drivers and supervisors
  • Perform HandyDART and custom transit service scheduling
  • Post service alerts (e.g., delays, detours) through apps or social media platforms
  • Respond to public and driver inquiries, identifying solutions to concerns
  • Maintain clear and timely communication with staff regarding operational issues, changes, and updates
  • Ensure fair and consistent treatment of drivers, in accordance with the Driver’s Handbook and company policies
  • Process purchase orders, invoices, and general administrative tasks
  • Complete data entry and maintain accurate operational records
  • Ensure all required paperwork and requests are completed accurately and on time
  • Support front-line office and reception duties as required
  • Assist in creating and improving operational systems and processes
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and service delivery
